Aveda Announces Luis Gonzalez as Color Director on Aveda’s North America Artistic Team

Aveda has recently introduced Luis Gonzalez as the new Color Director for the North America Artistic Team. This pivotal role calls for a visionary creative leader who will pioneer the development of cutting-edge artistry, aimed at inspiring and uplifting the professional beauty community.

In his capacity, Gonzalez will be dedicated to providing the Aveda North American network of professionals with annual color collections. Furthermore, he will take the lead in conducting educational classes in select Aveda salons, offering stylists a hands-on opportunity to master the latest collection and techniques in person. Beyond curating color collections, Gonzalez will spearhead the growth of artistry and product innovation within Aveda North America, with these innovations taking center stage at industry shows and events.

Luis Gonzalez's dedication to Aveda and education has been unwavering since 2005. He currently serves as the Creative Director and co-owner of VIDA Salon in Denver, Colorado, a salon recognized as one of Salon Today's Top 200 fastest-growing salons in America. As an educator, Gonzalez focuses on all facets of color, including placement, formulation, and the artistic dimension.

His expertise has earned him opportunities to present his own segments on stage at prestigious events like Aveda Master Jams and Aveda Congress. Additionally, he has been actively involved backstage at New York Fashion Week. Gonzalez's editorial hair color photography has graced the pages of numerous fashion and hair publications, and his work has been featured in several award-nominated collections. His achievements include being named Top Colorist by Colorist Magazine, Southwest Latino Hairdresser and Colorist of the Year, as well as receiving nominations for the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) in the category of Colorist of the Year.
